Founded by Ivan and Vânia Alentijev, Lavi Design Studio blends engineering precision with artistic vision. Ivan, a mechanical engineer, and Vânia, a Portuguese artist, began their journey in Lisbon, where they ran a successful real estate business before the pandemic shifted their path. In 2020, Ivan started handcrafting wooden gym equipment in their backyard—a small project that soon grew into a thriving design venture.

By 2021, they sold their Lisbon home to build a workshop in the countryside, dedicating themselves to the creation of custom, high-end furniture. In early 2025, the family relocated to Serbia, continuing their production and expanding the studio’s mission: a rebellion against disposable furniture and mass-produced design. Lavi is committed to restoring craftsmanship, beauty, and quality that lasts a lifetime.

The name Lavi reflects the essence of family—Lucas, Alice, Vânia, and Ivan—and the legacy they are building together. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, sculpted from solid wood, where functionality meets artistry. Each design carries a soul. Built to endure. Built to be remembered.
