LAVI Design Studio is a family-run workshop creating premium solid-wood furniture built to outlast trends.
What started in Lisbon in 2020 quickly became a full commitment—by 2021 we sold our home to build a workshop and dedicate our lives to making warm, architectural pieces with honest construction and natural finishes that age beautifully.
Today, based in Serbia, we design and handcraft custom work shaped around each client’s space, taste, and daily life—no mass production
Ivan Neto Alentijev
Ivan was born in Serbia and trained as a mechanical engineer. His path was built through hands-on work across different industries before he fully committed to furniture design and making. In 2020, he began building by hand in Lisbon, and in 2021 he sold his home to build a workshop and dedicate himself to premium solid-wood furniture. Today, based in Serbia, Ivan leads design and production at LAVI—focused on structural integrity, refined proportions, and pieces built to outlast trends.
Vânia Ribeiro Neto Alentijev
Vânia was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. She studied arts and Chinese medicine, building a foundation that blends visual sensitivity with balance and material awareness. Her work background is in interior decoration and design, where she developed a strong eye for proportion, atmosphere, and how a space feels. At LAVI, she is a co-founder and co-creator of every piece—shaping design decisions, finishes, and the interior context, while supporting the studio’s direction alongside Ivan.
